Celebrate Model Railroads in Chattanooga

By Linda Tancs Did you know that November is National Model Railroad Month?  What better place to celebrate than the Howell Day Museum of Model Railroading in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Dedicated in 2000, the museum is named for Howell Day, who proposed creating a museum entirely devoted to the history and technology of scale model railroading in 1995.   There you’ll find a replica of his Lehigh Valley “Dorothy” inspection engine and the showcasing of various intricately-detailed exhibits.

Mmmm Yummy Icecreams: A Singapore Must

My partner lived on these in Singapore! The icecreams cost $1 Singapore and you get a thick rectangular chunk of yummy icecream wedged in between two wafers (or rainbow bread…but I eat so slowly I imagine it would go soggy for me ).

Got It!

I got my Bulgarian Type D–Long Stay Visa today! Phew. I can cross that off my to do list.  It’s nice to have the visa.  First, it means that I can say past next Sunday which was going to be the date that my 90 days as a tourist expired and second, it means that after I apply for my lichna karta I don’t have to worry about my status in country for at least a year. Super
