After dropping off the Bengal cats Zara and Ben we took in the sights of southern Portugal and the Costa Del Sol. Along the way we dropped off Buster the Bordeaux Mastiff puppy (who has been very entertaining!) and Blanco the cat in the Malaga area. Also leaving us were Rosie (the Russian Terrier) and cats Tia and Coco, all of whom have rejoined their respective families on the Costa Blanca.
After a 48-hour delay, holed up in a smart hotel with DVDs, books and paperwork while the heavens opened and the sea lashed at the shore and all the ferries were cancelled, we eventually managed to set off for North Cyprus. Even then it wasn’t easy. We discovered that our van had to travel on one ferry while passengers had to travel on a second one following in its wake.
